About Aura Quartz Crystals

Aura Crystals are regular clear quartz crystals that are treated with other minerals, such as pure gold, or titanium, to give them a new color. This means that the color is Permanent- it will NOT wear off. The properties for each crystla then combine that of clearn quartz, plus the properties of the mineral and then creates properties specific to that new crystal. Below I have listed what mineral each crystal is treated with in order to give it the beautiful color you see.
  • Aqua Aura- Gold (most common of the aura crystals)
  • Blue "Celestial" Aura- Indium (newest aura crystal)
  • Opal Aura- Platinum or Zircon (sometimes called: Angel Aura, or Pearl Aura)
  • Rainbow Aura- Titanium (sometimes called peacock aura)
  • Rose Aura- Gold & Silver (sometimes also called raspberry aura, cherry aura)
  • Royal Aura- Titanium (sometimes also called Siberian Blue Aura)

All of the Aura Quartz Crystals that I offer in my jewelry, or as display specimen come from a crystal mine in Arkansas.

I have tried to acquire the exact procedure that they use on the crystals, but the mine tells me that the place where they send them off to be treated will not tell their "secret" process. If i ever find more information I will be sure to add it to this page.
