Metaphysical Properties of stones originated from folklore that has surrounded the stones for centuries. I have always been fascinated by the information that has been passed down about gemstones and have compiled the following information for your enjoyment. Everything about gems and rocks and crystals has always been interesting to me and the part stones have played in the history of mankind has somehow shaped us into who we are today. Healers in ancient cultures used crystals to help heal themselves and others and beleived they held powers that would aid them in advancing their civilizations. Barnacle Crystal that has a small delicate crystal or crystals attached to its sides or faces. Barbacles promote harmony and trust in groups and help bring together soul groups. Also useful for meditating on family or group issues or solutions.
Bridge/Penetrator Crystal with a smaller crystal sticking into or growing out of it. Can also grow completely through the larger crystal. These crystals serve as portals to the inner worlds and help connect you to your inner light. Meditating with one of these crystals can help penetrate deep emotional issues that need to surface for healing.
Channeling Crystal that has a 7 sided symetrical face and a small triangle on the side opposite the main face. Channeling crystals can facilitate communication with spiritual guides and aid in psychic development when you meditate with them. Also provides access to higher consciousness and wisdom.
Cluster A group of crystals that are joined together on the same base. The base can be a matrix mineral or other crystals in a clump. Clusters help facilitate harmony in groups, especially groups working toward spiritual goals. Also promotes balance, friendship and familial cooperation. Helps remove negativity from the group environment. For example, placing a cluster in an office or store, where the same group works together can help promote harmony and easy communication among members.
Companion (aka. Dolphin Crystal) Crystal that has a smaller crystal attached to it. The smaller crystal can face any way. Similar to Soul Mate Crystal only they are not side by side. These crystals are often called Dolphin crystals because dolphins will swim along side the ships and play spreading their healing and joy. This crystal also lets us know that we are not alone. Connects us with the unseen helpers in our lives such as spirit guides, angels, and nature spirits. Also can be helpful for parents connecting in Divine love with their children.
Curved Crystal that is curved rather than straight through the body. A curved crystal can produce a soothing and powerful energy helping to find ways around issues and flow easily around things blocking our path. Cleanses the aura and aids in seeing behind the appearances of what is truly happening in our troubled situations.
Double Terminated (DT) Crystal that has a natural point on each end of it's body. Sometimes the ends can be in the form of twinning points in one of the pointed ends. Double terminated crystals can balance energy by sending it both ways into the infinite. Can help share energy between two people and can help remove blocks from between the chakras and meridians of the body. Also helpful to increase the flow of the prana energy during meditations. Stengthens the aura and expands the white light that is within.
Dow Crystal Crystal that has a 7-3-7-3-7- sided symmetrical face. Dow crystals combine the energies of the channeling and transmitter crystals as well as promotes expansion of psychic awareness. In meditation Dow crystals can help manifest the Divine Plan in your life. Helps balance the energy between the white light coming in and the undeveloped light that is transmuted. Aids in clear communication with Angels and spirit guides and one's soul self.
Empathic/Warrior Crystal that has been damaged, chipped, broken, or cracked. Can be natural damage or caused by man. Sometimes called warrior crystals or wounded healers. Promotes empathy and understanding and compassion for others and helps us see the beauty in all situations and in all people.
Extra-terrestrial Crystal with a point on one end and multiple points on the other end. Not twinned points, but many. Helps put us in contact with other worlds and dimensions and helps us to remember where we came from.
Generator (Merlin) Crystal with 6 symmetrical sides that come together meeting in a single point. Ultimate generator of balanced energy. This crystal can be used to direct energy or healing to a specific purpose or through a specific chakra. Can also push energy through all the chakras when held over the crown helping to make a clear channel for the flow of Prana.
Grounding Crystal that has a perfectly symmetrical 8 sided face. Helps promote grounding and connect us to the earth and nature energies. Helps balance the intake of the white light thereby reducing the dizzyness and headaches that healers would tend to get. Helps us also to focus in a grounded way and stabalize our lower chakras.
Isis Crystal that has 5 sided symmetrical main face. This crystal connects us to our feminine energy and also helps connect the Goddess energies. For men it helps to balance the over abundance of masculine energy and for women, it helps us to embrace who we truly are. A very nurturing crystal, it will help you learn to take the time for yourself and helps to develop that relationship with your soul self.
Key/Gateway Crystal with 3 or 6 sided indentation/opening on the face or side of the crystal where another crystal once was. Can unlock access to hidden information that would normally be hidden. Also helps us unlock the deeper wisdom contained within ourselves. Also can help to unlock the inner gateways to illumination and access the Divine Plan.
Manifestation Crystal that has a smaller crystal completely enclosed within it. These are VERY Rare. They help us to manifest our dreams and our part in the Divine Plan into the physical realm. Helps also to promote our inner creativity and heal from traumatic events. Also demonstrates "as above, so below" and "as within, so without".
Phantom Crystal that has a crystal-within-a-crystal effect caused by contact with other minerals while it was growing. The phantom portion is often light to very dark grey or black and sometimes in rare instances will be a reddish or blue color. Phantoms help us accept and love our shadow self and the undeveloped light that is within us and around us. Helps us to transform and transmute blocks in our path into light. Also reminds us to see behind appearances in others.
Rainbows Crystal that has a rainbow or bruise of rainbows naturally inside the crystal . These bruises of rainbow color often occur around natural internal fractures and also occur where two crystals join together as in a twin or soul mate crystal. Rainbows remind us that we are all light and that the treasure of life is found within. White Light contains every color in the spectrum and when it is sent through a prism, creates the rainbows. Also reminds us of the Divine Laws and covenant. Eases sadness and depression and promotes joy in our hearts. Helps us spread unconditional love to all that we come in contact with. Helpful in clearing all of the chakras at the same time, helping the Prana energy flow smoothly.
Record Keeper Crystal that has one or many small pyramid shaped etchings on the face or sides. These crystals connect us to the ancient wisdom uncluding the Antlanteans and Lemurians. Knowledge can be passed on to us as we are ready and open to receiving, through the akashic records which are contained within these crystals.
Self-healed Crystal that has been broken and has healed itself. This usually looks like a glassy jello like part and can have uneven surface on the healed portion. These are master healing crystals. They teach us to overcome all things and heal ourselves with faith, praise and gratitude. Promotes generosity and unconditional love and service.
Soul Mate Two crystals that are joined together side by side in some fashion. The more evenly sized the two crystals are, the more balanced the energy will be. Can be useful in finding your soul mate. Useful to balance any relationship as long as that relationship is healthy for both involved. Promotes clear communication and understanding between partners and helps strengthen any spiritual partnership including friendships. Rare to find evenly matches crystals and are truly a special find!
Tantric Twin Twin crystals that have grown together on the sides and have the same base but separate distinct terminations. Another great crystal for relationships and partnerships. Promotes harmony and balance. Energy of each tantric twin will be in relation to the balance in size of it's points as in the soul mate crystals. Helps us to remember that we are all one expressing as the many.
Tabular/Tabby Crystal that is flat and thin and has a blunted tip that is also flat. Tabby crystals help us to chisel our way through our path. Helps to pave the way for understanding and easy spiritual growth. Helps with self expression and the surrender of the ego self. Can act as a bridge that can be laid across any canyon in our path so that nothing is closed to us. Also represents the inner door that is inside of us that leads to the infinite.
Time Link-Future Time Links are similar to windows only their diamond shape will be stretched parrallelograms. Future Time Link has the shape to the right of the main face. Can also help us access and balance our right brain capabilities. Helps us to manifest our desired future according to our Divine plan and activates creativity.
Time Link-Past Time Links are similar to windows only their diamond shape will be stretched parrallelograms. Past Time Link has the shape to the left of the main face. Helps balance left brain capabilities. Helps to learn from our past lives and learn the lessons of our ancestors so that the entire family line can be released from the karmic ties of the unlearned lessons of the past.
Transmitter Crystal with 2 symmetrical 7 sided faces with perfect trianlge between the faces. Transmitter crystals help to ask the right questions during our meditation and receive the answers that will help us further our spiritual work. Helps us see the truth underlying appearances. Can also transmit signals that act as beacons across the dimensions. Shining our light for all to see against the blanket of dark that is the void.
Window Crystal that has a diamond shaped extra face where 2 faces join. Acts as a window into other dimensions and into our soul. Also helps us learn about our past lives. Reveals inner things that need to be shed in order to continue on our path.
